Jonathan Jehorek is a former pastor, who spent 17 years serving Presbyterian churches in Longview. He loves encouraging others to first recognize the needs around them, to unite in prayer with others about those needs, and then to collaborate with others to change what they see.
Jehorek received his bachelor's in English from the University of Northern Colorado, and a Master's of Divinity form Union Seminary, in Richmond, Virginia. LaRaslum Williams
- Program Director
LaRaslum Williams is a Longview native and graduate of Longview High School. She received her bachelor's of Business Administration degree from Texas College. LaRaslum has 15 years' experience in creating and providing asset-rich opportunities for young people of East Texas. She held the position of program coordinator with the City of Longview Partners In Prevention Mentoring Program and as facilitator for Bridges Out of Poverty. LaRaslum attends youth conferences, leadership trainings, and continuing education classes to enhance and develop her knowledge to better serve youth.
In 2009, she founded YU? Youth Resources, a youth-development program that reaches and teaches youth of East Texas to become their best self. LaRaslum’s passion to serve youth is an ordained and divine assignment. Her current position, as Program Director of Thrive360, is another runway to assist the youth of Longview to be succcessful and to widen their horizons.Shamir Davis
- Athletic Director
Shamir Davis attended Huntington High School in Shreveport, La. In high school, he was a four-year basketball player and was named three-times to all-city teams. He was also an all-state award winner. He also excelled in the classroom by being a part of enriched classes. After graduating from high school Shamir then attended Northwestern State University on an athletic scholarship. While at NSU, he was named all-conference three times. NSU won the Southland Conference championship in his senior year, and he was named Most Valuable Player. Most importantly, Shamir graduated with a degree in psychology and a 3.2 grade point average. After college, he played professionally in Spain, in the European basketball league. Katie Cunha
- Chapel Director
Katie Cunha is originally from Michigan but has lived here in Longview for five years. She and her husband, Wilson, have 2 children: Matthew 4, and Isabella, 1. Wilson is from Brazil and is a Bible professor at LeTourneau University. Katie has always had a passion for working with children and has 17 years’ experience. She earned her professional teaching certificate and has taught in inner-city schools and in Europe. Katie also has nearly completed her master’s degree in teaching reading and math. She recently served for two years as a Bible Club director at EPC Longview church. Katie also planned many children's events, sermons and vacation bible schools. Katie is excited to be a part of the Thrive 360 team this year, to have fun with the kids of Boys and Girls Club, and to see them learn about our amazing God and serving His people. Gary Borders
- Communications Director
Gary Borders is a longtime journalist and photographer, who spent more than 40 years working for newspapers. He grew up on South Twelfth Street and graduated from Longview High School. Borders received his bachelor's in history, English and philosophy from Stephen F. Austin State University and a master's in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
